​At South Walsham Preschool we understand that every child can make progress with the right help. Sometimes a child needs an extra helping hand to enable them to reach their full potential. Children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) have learning difficulties or disabilities that make it harder for them to learn than most children of the same age. These children may need extra or different help from that given to others.

If your child requires additional support, we will use our best endeavours to make sure that a child with SEND gets the support they need – this means doing everything we can to meet children's SEND. We ensure that children with SEND engage in the activities of the preschool alongside pupils who do not have SEND. Our skilled SENDCO works hard to ensure needs are being met and children access the full curriculum. 

We know that the most important people in any child’s life are their parents - you know your children best of all. That’s why what you as parents think, feel and say is important to us. We will listen to any worries or concerns you may have and involve you fully in decisions that affect your child.
